Marie Kondo has become a significant name since the release of her Netflix special Tidying Up, a series where she enters the homes of messy individuals searching for solutions to their organizational woes.
That's how, through her tidying procedures and glowing personality, she found to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! To help Jimmy declutter his cluttered, and apparently cockroach-inhabited, office. Though the book achieved great success, it was not until the beginning of this calendar year, when Netflix released Tidying Up, that Marie Kondo became a household name.
In the show, Kondo introduces the KonMari system, a slick organizational style that focuses on removing unused products and storing only the items that"spark joy" in those who possess them. With this technique in mind, homeowners on the series and in-home watching began to declutter their own lives and make distance inside their homes by ridding themselves of used items and clothes.
Actually, Jennifer Garner has adopted the KonMari Method, with the help of Marie Kondo herself! Jimmy, a self-described pack-rat and slob, explains that Marie is forthcoming to help him clear out work he's held for 16 decades.
After going into an office using a soft and pleasant"Konichiwa," Marie helps Jimmy tidy up his cupboard space, bookshelf, and desk area. She offers advice on dangling precious items on the wall, so removing extraneous books (though she does not recommend simply having 30!), also touching everything to get only those that attract joy.
After pulling an emergency escape ladder out of this corner of the office, Marie inquires (through the support of her ), Marie Iida): "is a cockroach?" After spotting something on to the ground.
"No, people are... oh, yeah, that is just a cockroach," responds Jimmy. "Sorry about that!"
Sure enough, a dead cockroach is putting amongst another mess right there on the floor. At the start of the segment, Jimmy explained this particular area of the series was in no way staged, so for Marie to locate a cockroach in his distance is pretty hysterical!
